RE: If you won the lottery.....

I would buy a big chunk of land and hunt it all the time. Then I'd get a guide liscense and start an outfitting service, I wouldn't have to work, unless you count running the outfitting service as work, and I would hunt and fish and do everything outdoors all year long. AND I'D STILL BE RICH!!!

I would really appreciate that, as it would keep the iowegians from coming north to the great state of Minnesota. ;)
Why do all the trees in southern Minnesota lean south?
Because Iowa sucks :D

The next obvious question is why do I live in Iowa then? School. The hunting is just a great added bonus!

As to the question of how much I would hunt:

I would hunt every day that I possibly could. I would hunt every deer season possible, max out on tags, give the extra meat to the HUSH, hunt every other animal every possible season and build a really sweet wooden lodge in the middle of a large chunk of land in northern MN with a lake no one else has access to.

This is compared to the 10 or so days a year I get to hunt now.

Sure, I'd hunt much more and it would be on my own 3000 acre farm in Alberta.;)It's nice to dream. :D

I don't think it would change for me..
I do too many rough back country hunts in 3 months to carry on
for longer in a course of a year.....
By Christmas I'm ready for a vacation......:D:D

Now excuse me a bit but I have to do this..................

If you won the lottery, say $120 million...........

would youthink more or less?
I honestly think that if I won $120 million or so, I would probably end up hunting less often, but obviously I would buy a big hunk of land and make the times that I do hunt much more to my exact liking. I just think that I would also want to pursue other interest, that I currently do not have the funds for, such as buying, collecting and riding motorcycles. Of course my wife would want to travel quite a bit, so I think less often for me.

Oh Great, another high fence operation
ok.. I would let you guys hunt there.. The fence is to keep 'people' away from me. I would love to drive across a state with NO TRAFFIC, NO NASTY PEOPLE, FRESH AIR, OPEN SPACES ( no more housing developements ).. Picked Iowa because the nice deer are already there for me.. :D

I'd probably turn into the next "Uncle Ted" except without the high fence hunts. If your poor, your crazy. If your rich, your eccentric.

I dont think I would stop hunting/scouting for deer. With a 120 mil I wuoldnt have to work, which means I could build my nice log cabin in the middle of nowhere in Big Buck Heaven and just play in the woods all day long!
