I think when your dreaming of a buck of a life time you have a certian picture in your mind as what it will look like ...BUT when that time FINALLY comes like it did for me in 2004 ..and your hard work ..persitence and patience pays off ..when you walk up to that buck it wont make any difference if its a typical or non typical ... I was never so elated over anything as I was when we found the non typical I had harvested ....anf the fact it only had a 12 inch inside spread didnt bother me either ...after all it did score 185 1/8

Both. Each is unique in their own way. I wouldn't pass either up.
Both is right. One down non-typ to go. Over all, I prefer big typicals.

You know I've shot some large typs 180-185 gross and some pretty good size non typs in the same class....
A buck of a lifetime for me would be something that scores over 200"...
Huge...Reguardless of it being typ or non typ........
You know I've been giving it thought and I can't come up with a decision......
I just hope I don't get buck fever when I see one......

I would have to say typical also. There is nothing more beautiful than a perfectly clean rack with next to no deductions.
But, another part of me also wants a big old double drop tine buck with what looks like axe handles coming off the main beams.

Every deer you take is a trophy, imo. But if I had to choose between two monster bucks, one a typical one a non, I would shoot the typical. A mainframe 10 or 12 with a rack that haston and a half of mass and a spread sooo wide that I can't put my rifle or bow on it.

Whichever one. I'd love to kill one of each. Overall though i'd have to say a perfectly symmetrical large 10pt is my dream buck. No way id pass up a big non typ though. All deer are trophys in my eyes. Anything you put all you're hard work into getting and finally succed is a trophy.
