I am going to be hunting on some of the public hunting areas in Frederick County Maryland. I am very new to the sport, and have some general questions.

- When field dressing a deer, do you leave the internal organs in the woods, or carry them out with you?
- When hunting with a firearm, do you use any type of ear protection?
- For safety, when I hunt a public hunting area, is a hunting partner a necessity, or would telling a reliable person (my wife) my whereabouts sufficient?

Also, any information about the public hunting areas in Frederick County MD or general tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, just wear some earing protection when you go to the range,
A hunting buddy is best but if you don't have a hunting buddy, be sure and let someone know where you will be hunting and your expected return time.

be careful here especially on public land....i believe that some states you have to take your deer out of the woods whole. check your state hunting rules before you field dress it and leave the entrails in the woods.
