First Buck of the season 10pt (Pic)
The does were out early and there were plenty of them in the green field. I spotted this deer in the edge of the woods about 10 mins before sunset. I thought he was looking at me and had seen me in my stand because he eased back into the woods. I could catch glimpses of his antlers through the woods and could tell he was slipping toward the food plot. It seem like it took him forever---but he finally appeared in the food plot about 100 yards from my stand. When he went to feeding I shot with my 30-06. Lucky for me he went right down. He then began to crawl a little. Wanting to take no chances I fired again. My first shot, as it turned out went right through the boiler room and then took out his right shoulder. My second shot hit his back.
Not a massive or wide rack---but I'm happy---after all a 10 point is a 10 point!!! 165 Lbs on the hoof.
