During the Missouri rifle season my step dad shot a 10 point doe(i will post pics later, im at work now so i cant). Of course when he shot it he thought i was a buck, but we went to dress it and it had fur where the package should have been and nipples above it. I thought it was weird for a doe to have that nice of a rack. Ive heard of maybe one point on each side but never this beautiful of a rack on one. What'cha think?

I've seen a few does with horns but they were all like spikes or something small but never anything like a 10 pointer. Post the pics. I would like to see it.

MrMat,

1 in maybe 100,000 doe will have antlers and 1 in 100,000 of those will have really good antlers like the 10pt you discribed. I know of 3 or 4 8pts that have been taken in the last 8 or 9 yrs. A mid score 10pt would have to go as a records of sort in someone's book. There was a 10pt doe taken in a midwestren state a couple of years ago, but it was a tiny set of antlers. A wildlife biologest friend of mine stated that these deer are normally steril. He did say that there has been some recorded births from antlered doe. Wouldn't a whole herd of these but the lion in the monkey cage of the states that do not premit the harvest of doe.(?)

Its not common but it does happen. This year, a guy in Willmar MN shot a doe with a thirteen point rack. He was more than likely pissed when he found out it was a doe. Check out the article. http://www.startribune.com/stories/531/3450867.html I do believe it will go in the record books for one of the biggest racks for a doe ever recorded. There was pictures in the paper a few weeks back. NICE RACK!
