RE: Albino or Buck?
I would defiantely go for the albino. I think piebalds, albinos, etc. are awesome (if you couldn't already tell by my name) and it's like myultimate goal in hunting to bag one. lol
Last year there was a melanistic buck running around here that any one of us in my hunting group could have shot, but he never survived through rifle season, because he got hit by a car [:'(] I think it's stupid that in some states you can't shoot albinos. Why save them? They'll only pass on defective genes to the herd, same goes with piebalds. |
RE: Albino or Buck?
i wound shoot the buck if it would go 150

RE: Albino or Buck?
In indiana it is legal to shoot an albino. But I'd shoot the buck first and hope the doe circled back around.

ORIGINAL: AmateurHunter44857 If it were legal i'd shoot the doe. Not because i wanna brag that i shot this rare and mysterious doe but to keep the gene from being spread to other deer and limiting their ability to hide from predators. I don't understand why they would be protected state wide??? |
RE: Albino or Buck?

RE: Albino or Buck?
I'd shoot the buck. Earlier today I posted a video of a racked albino. There is also a pure white doe that I havn't caught with the camera yet but I will!

RE: Albino or Buck?
Its legal in sc..i think... but i would still shoot the buck bc around here the does, 99% of the time, come back. Some times they just stand there and dont run off so i would most likely get both. If not, oh well atleast i got the buck and its more likely for that doe to come back than that rutting buck.

RE: Albino or Buck?
Well around here it isnt illegal so I would shoot the buck. You would proably see the doe again so then you could shoot her
