NO..we have a pretty good trade off. I have the fall months and she works around them.She has the spring months {except turkey weekends} ;)and i work around her .

Things she does get ticked off at though during my hunting and fishing ventures.
1. Leaving fish scales on the table.

2. Tracking in mud from the swamp.

3. Sleeping all day because I got up early that morning

My wife and I have been married for 9 years now and dated for 3 years. The first 5 years of our relationship was nothing but fighting over hunting. Then we worked it out, I have the Fall to do what ever I want and she gets the rest of the year to do what ever she wants.She still jabs me more towards the end of hunting season. This year she started hunting so maybe she will she the light.

Nope she knew up front how much i hunted which is my life and i wont give up for anyone!!! She never says a word even when i was gone 21 days straight this year.. Walt

NICE Dan...I don't catch any grieve but I can't get her to start. She loves shooting her bow and is lethal, but has no urge to put something down.

My wife is real cool about it. Her Dad is a really great hunter. I admire him alot as a hunter and we've hunted together some. I think this has alot to do with why she is so cool with it; she was raised to appreciate it. Heck the only time she naggs me about anything to do with hunting is when I make a mess in the kitchen deboning and packaging the venison. She tells me whe need to build an outsideprocessing station. I actually think if I really tried I could get her in the stand with me. Butthis year I've beenbringing our 4 year old son. The wife's turn will come later, right now its my boys turn;)

I'm not married but my girl friend has complained a good deal when all I do is bowhunt....Some people will never understand why we do what we do.

My wife has come to the understanding that between September and February each year I'm "busy" as well as the end of April through mid May for turkey and the summer months for fishing.

I give her 2 vacations per year and usually get to fish on those as well. I'm damned lucky and I know it.

She doesn't mind and has helped me start Youth Outdoor Connection, Inc. where I'll be spending even MORE time in the woods and on the water.

My wife knows that I am going to hunt regardless what she says, and usually is good about it. She still struggles with understanding that hunting does not just mean going out for 2 hours in the morning or 2 hours in the evening, but most or all of a day. I am still "breaking her in" on that one.

Luckily I have a very understanding wife that lets me hunt as much as I want, which is nearly every weekend. But she goes out with me, so as long as she gets to go, then it's all good. The key with her was getting her hooked, and have her personally understand the addiction.

Coolest thing ever. My girlfriend mentioned taking Hunter's Education classes this fall! She's still too afraid of guns to shoot one, but it's a start. I got her into fishing and she outfishes me all the time...
