Rut in north Louisiana

Does anybody know or have heard if the rut is starting in north east La? I'm going to be hunting all next week around Columbia and Olla.

Rut usually starts late here. Last year the bucks were running does well into January. The base game biologist told me that they should rut about the middle of December.

I hunt north of Minden and a few of the guys that have taken bucks said that they are chasing does. I haven't been seeing much deer activity though. I saw a doe last night but nothing was behind her. The deer on our lease are moving very late at night, I guess it is the hunting pressure.
