You should be fine with that combo.

I know the whitetails are a little bigger in Canada, but, I would think that those 140 gr. partitions would work just fine. Good luck!!!

Stick with what you fire on whitetails in the states. 140's are fine.

it's shot placement... I use 110 grain and 140. 110 will drop them just as quick as 140.

Ithink you would be fine w/140gr pills. I load 140gr bullets in my 6.5 and 150gr for my .30-06. I would even say go w/ a conventional cup and core bullet....... I save partitionsfor moose. I know a virtual army of hunters that use .243' w/conventional bullets and have yet tohave a problem. Just put it in the right place. Good luck

That combo would be sufficent to get the job done on our big deer up here but the thing that counts most is shot placement.

I hunted Alberta in 2004 and harvested a buck that weighed close to 350lbs with a TC Encore in a 7mm08 139 grain ballistic tip ...took him at 165 yards ...you should be fine.

thanks guys that was my gut feeling all along! stick with the 140's i shoot a t/c encore and it is a very deadly/accurate combo! i shoot partitions because i feel a bullet is not a place to skimp! i look at it as sort of a cheap insurance if i do my part i for sure dont have to worry about the bullet doing it's part.
