The best time's are prerut and during the rut,Prerut you want to use a non aggresive style mild clicking together of the antler's hitting them together but not hard buck's are only kinda play fighting at this time,when the rut is on then you want to get more aggresive with the rattling hard clicking, hitting them together and even scrapping leaves hitting trees to make it sound like two buck's in a fight put in a few grunt's do this for a minute or two then watch and listen,alot of buck's will sneak in to check out the action and the opposition and then some will run right in ready to take anything on
