Default Well - it's that time again....

Well, it's that time again(in Missouri). There's 1 day left of bow season - but yesterday was it for me....

I tried for my own version of a "grand slam" - a deer in all 3 seasons - bow, rifle & muzzleloader. I hunted more than I ever have, this year - I'm exhausted. I was able to get one deer during rifle season, and one deer during muzzleloader season. I struck out during bow season. But, that's OK - I had the best time ever.

My freezer's full, and I ain't complaining. This is the first year/season I wasn't sick - that's why I was able to spend so much time in the woods. Now it's time to sit back and reflect on my new memories. After all, the only other thing to do is wait till next year!

I hope everyone's season was as memorable as mine...

It sounds like you had a good year.I think there was a song entitled 2 out of 3 ain't bad.You said you got to hunt more then ever before and meat in the freezer to boot.
Congrats.

Gald to hear you had a successful season. And most of all some good memories to enjoy.

Two deer in a season is a sucessful season even though you fell just short of your goal. Congrats.

I know what it's like to get skunked.
I'm very grateful to have been fortunate enough to take 2 deer. Believe me, though - I earned 'em...

Everyone I talk to says Missouri had a great year, which we did. It's supposed to be another record year. The numbers aren't tallied for the total yet, but firearms season #'s are huge.

I was confused/depressed about all the reports coming in, because I wasn't seeing a lot of activity. The weather didn't cooperate that much at all, either - IMHO.
