With a gun I usually start stalking my animal, with a bow, I wait at least an hour or more if I don't see or hear the animal go down.

But on the picture, I'm crying foul too. There are ears where there are no heads like dead center of the photo not to mention way they are "stacked" the would have to be deliberately intertwined. Towards the upper left there is an ear coming out of the back of another deer and that deers head goes off the screen and the ear is backwards. There's an ear under the leg of the deer center/right but no head. That leg is intertwined witht eh deer beside it nad it's head is missing. If this were all the case, I count 10 possible deer or just hides etc...yup, I'm crying foul too. Sorry Nathan. A bad photoshop.

First thing I do is light up a congraulatory cigar.:)If the deer drops I give it a few minutes to die. If it runs away I'd probably give it 1/2 hour or so.

It is so odd to me that people think the picture is a photoshop job. I have confirmed with my friend that took the picture that he does still have the negative. I would be willing to send the negative to an independent person to let them confirm it. I would love to place a wager on it as I could use whatever money someone was willing to donate.

Step 1: SIT DOWN BEFORE i FALL OUT OF THE TREE!!!!!!!!!

I am usually shaking pretty good after the shot, so I need to hang the bow up and sit down so I won't fall, that would ruin all the fun that's about to happen ;)

Next burn into my brain exactly where the deer was when I shot that arrow, cause it WILL look different once you're on the ground.

Next, check the time, then 20 minutes later check it again and see that only 1 minute went by [X(]

Finally get down quietly, sneak over to arrow that is hopefully in the ground covered with lung tissue, blood and bubbles. Then asses from there. Hopefully call home to get the draggers (aka my two sons) to head out. by the time they get there, enough time's past and off we go tracking.

With a gun shot deer they usually fall where I can see em, if not, treat it as above.

Oh ya, and don't forget the "happy dance" this is vitally important.

Sounds good to me. I'll just get my friend to send it directly to you when he gets back home from Christmas. Do you have a way to print out the negative or would you send it off to a photo printing place?

Do you think these guys would believe you if you said it was real? I'm not sure some of them would believe it even then.

I think some may believe you if I see the negs and agree they are real.

Set the gun down, pull out the knife, chase the deer until it goes down or you catch up to him (if it did't die on the spot), jump on it and stab it to death. Look him in the eyes and show him who did this to him...

Behead him, skin the skull and hang in the "tree of shame" for all other deer to see.
