Good choice?
Went to gun shopwith my 30-06 colt light rifle(cost me a big buck,biggest Iseen in the woods at 20 yds missfire deer gone game over)Left with a stevens model 200 7mm-08.I know its not a tikka or one of the highend guns but I just cant get over that moment(anyone who knows the adirondack region in ny knows the deer population is est. at 1 yes 1 deer per square mile)it wont happen again not with that gun.Anyone own one of these are they a good cal.I dont need all of the power ofan 30.-06 plus this gun was a lot lighter than any of the bigger caliper guns there that means ALOT to me.Any advice welcome good choice?

RE: Good choice?
awsome out of box accuracy for $ or otherwise.
Great choice.See if you may be able to order an accutrigger for it.??
i guess you noticed the "ugly" barrel nut...
custom barrels are sweet and an easy change on the Savage 10/110(Stevens 200)
A great number of aftermarket stocks available from several makers.
A++ on overall value
The 7mm08 is agreat choice.
I have clocked inaround 100000rds(maybe exaggeration, but not by much)on a Savage .30'06 never had a misfire.
