Yes, but a good pair of side dykes or linemans pliers will take care of them faster. A knife won't hurt the ones with the steel lining.[:-]

I don't carry dykes with me while hunting and my knife will hurt all valve stems. I also don't think you could get a linemans pliers on a valve stem as the rim would be in the way. Trust me, a good blade will cut all valve stems.

I've ran into this a couple of times and do the following which seems to have worked....1. Write down the plate number if you come across their vehicle. 2. Call the Game Warden a.s.a.p. or local cops. 3. I always carry a camera with me and take a picture of the vehicle and plates and the surroundings of where the car/truck was parked. That way if they leave before theGW shows up Ihave the proof that they were there. 4. If I run across them in the woods, I simply act friendly....I asked them how their hunts going, where they're from, introduce myself hoping to get their name, etc.and walk away. Get to the place where I'm away from them and call the Game Warden and find their vehicle....There is no sense in getting into a confortation with a person that has a weapon.
This is the smartest and safest response that I've ever seen! :D

If you're going to do anything to the tires, just remove the valve core, this does no property damage. I would recomend not taking the law into your own hands, If you're standing next to some dudes truck with a big grin on your face, four flat tires, and 'waiting' on a GW to show up, *Deleted* gonna get out of hand real quick.

Take pictures, hide in the weeds, whatever it takes, but contact the law first.
