You Call The Shots III

Weapon:Compound Bow
Range:30 yards
Conditions: Dusk; light snow
Winds: WindLight Wind in your face
The Scoop: It is late bow season and this buck Just came up from his bedding area toget somefood. You only have one day left in the season. He should present a perfect 30 yard shot. You've been practicing all summer and it's time. Do you wait for another to come by tomorrow?

Not sure.. that is a beautiful deer.. he looks a bit young. you have to think what if there is a guy sitting over the hill from me? what would he do? This deer is one of those "borderline shooters".... I would be satisfied with a picture and let him go.

Take him!
For sure...take him. Conditions look good to me.

However, It would take a few seconds to make my mind up that he WAS a shooter, but after those few...POW

I would wait for him to turn a little more so his near front leg is completely out of the way...then I'd take him. I've practiced long and hard with my bow....I know I can make the shot count.

Let him walk. He looks young With one more day left in the season he will probly make until next year. He will be a better buck then.

Let him walk! He made it this far thru the season so let him grow!!

I'd probally let him walk, he looks young. But if he was a herd elder I'd take him down. That rack would mess up the gein pool.

depends on where your hunting. if on a lease or private land, spare his life. on public land, SHOOT because if you don't...someone else will!

25 yards is my limit. I'd have to either let him come in to my range or let him walk.

I would think about shooting him...oh wait NO I WOULDN'T. Whack em and stack em.

To small for me, but more important the angle is a little off.

rybohunter 12-13-2006 02:32 PM

RE: You Call The Shots III

Not a shooter for me. If he was I still don't know ifI'd take the shot. 30 yds is out there around my max range that I'll shoot.

PABuck_HNTR 12-15-2006 06:52 AM

RE: You Call The Shots III

He's young , but i probably would take him if he presented a better shot angle that one isn't a good shot
