I'm amazed at the number of you who have forgotten their licenses at home - I thought I was the only one that dozy.
And that's exactly what I did - only it wasn't just a short drive home to pick it up. Here's the moose hunt I will never forget.

My story also illustrates the difference between man and dog. My wife and I were going about 4 hours away on a grouse hunting weekend. About an hour into the trip, we stop for dinner and realized we forgot the dog. We both thought the other had put her in. Back to the house we go. When I opened the door downstairs, out came the dog and she was the happiest dog you have ever seen. Can you think of one person that wouldn't have been mad?

trout fishing, the night before i restrung my reel. next morning i got to my fishing spot, walked 1/2 mile down the creek. started to hook and bait my pole and realized i forgot my reel at home (2 hours away) walked bck to my jeep, drove to the nearest wal-mart, about 30min drive. ran in in wadders, grabbed the first reel and spool of line i found, bought it and rushed back to my spot. strung up my reel, (something seemed strange) and casted out into the water. my line tangled up like a crows nest. pissed off, i restrung again, casted, line tangled up like a crows nest agian! i looked at the label on the spool of line to see what the problem was. I had grabbed 20lb test line off the shelf! at that point i called it a day!

went archery deer hunting a coupla years ago and not only forgot my license but my whole wallet. we we're in the deer and they were running everywhere, i even drew back on a nice 4x4 mulie. it ran off and as i took off after it my pocket felt wierd and when i checked, no wallet. i went back to the truck and left my bow on the hood. about an hour later guess who shows up? your right ole mister game warden. i explained the situation(leaving out the part of drawing back on the nice buck) and he gave me a ticket anyways. i went to court and got off all charges, but now that's the first thing i check to make sure i got.
