RE: New Camo?
That's not really new. I saw quite a bit of it worn by our NATO allies when I was in Italy. It is also similar to a pattern that had limited use by the Marines during WWII.

RE: New Camo?
HOPE THE AIR FORCE GOES WITH THAT NEW CAMO, THE ONLY THING IS THE PRICE I PAY 50 BUCKS FOR THE BDU SHIRT AND PANTS.

RE: New Camo?
They have had that new camo out and in the stores up here in Canada for a couple years. It hasn't sold well though. No one can see it hanging on the racks, so no one buys it.

RE: New Camo?
These were supposed to be out last year. But they should be out by Oct 2002. The cost will be aprox the same as the present BDU's. About 60 bucks a set. They were going to start issuing them to recruits last year, but the USMC decided that current active duty should get them first. They are awaiting a large enough supply, before they start issuing them. The present BDU's will be phased out in 5 years. http://www.tecom.usmc.mil/mcub/utility/index.html

RE: New Camo?
Well I will eat crow along with bulzeye, when I read this I thought buckhunter was talking about the same stuff bulzeye mentioned which is some really cool camo, but very expensive. I later saw on the news what everyone else is talking about, I think it is a darn nice pattern and is affordable, once it hits the surplus stores (or my son has an old set) I will probably pick some up.

RE: New Camo?
Robb92, I haven't heard anything about us getting the new design. You know we are the last to get anything new uniform wise unless it makes us look more like airline pilots. As air force I think we should wear urban camo unless we are in the field, since we are usually in an urban setting and woodland sticks out like a turd in a punchbowl.

RE: New Camo?
Taz, I am here at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, LA. After a long tour in Korea, it is good to be close to home again.
