RE: New Member Question Please Help

Cold and windy.... find the thickest dang stuff you can find or think of and hunt it. However, look for edges: be itan edge between say pines and hardwoods, cliffs, fields, streams, beaver ponds, creeks, ravines ditches, old road beds, edges ofhills,or different vegitation. Find some kind of edges. Also, you say you have seenscrapes, are these scrapes along a thick edge? My best success has always come when I have found rub lines & scrapes with edges that bordered or went into the thick stuff. My first 8pt was on a field edge, that bordered swamp bottom withthick dumb canein the bottom and briars in the old field; all this bordered a water oak hardwood bottom. Many edges. Also that day it was windy blowing sideways rain; in a word it was miserable. Edges are like roadsigns for the deer and they use them. Find the sign and the edges and you will find the deer. Good luck andI hope youharvest the deer of your dreams.
