Default Meat in the freezer

Shot this guy this morning. He`s not big(just under 200lbs)but should taste real fine.
My new Stevens 200 in .243 with a 100gr SP handload at 40 yds. We had just gotten out of the vehicle and saw the buck. He was just standing there looking at us. I only had time to load one cartridge, shoot(I never even saw him go down)and down he went, he never even twitched.
He may not be a record book trophy but he is to me.

It's a heck of a lot bigger than what I shot for meat. Congrats

Hey, looks like a trophy to me too. Looks to have a decent size body. Quite a bit bigger than the one I got also. Congrats.

Backstraps are a trophy to me! I like your rifle. I have that gun in .30-06 with a Bushnell trophy. Just got it so I have yet to shoot anything.

Good Job Congrats to you. Looks like a Maine deer to me.
I let my son take a day off from school last Wenesday to
go hunting with me and he over shot a monster of a buck
here. I told him not to worry we all miss a few before we
get them. Again Congrats to you.
