RE: I'm Back from Alberta
ORIGINAL: hardcorehunter 2nd day on the stand and you start shooting a decoy????????? How does an outfitter take care of such a client?? I have been on 7 canadian bear hunts. On three of the hunts I have sat from 3 pm till dark(8:30 pm) 5 solid days in a row, motionless with black flies and mosquitos swarming my headnet(before I learned about the thermacell) and never even saw a bear. That is why they call it hunting and not shooting. As an experienced hunter, Iaccept the fact that the game may not offer me a shot or that I may never see the game. To me that is one ofthe thrills about hunting; the unknown.I sure as a hell am not going to whine to my bear guide or get on a public forum and whine about not seeing a bear. Snibbling is not attractive on a grown man. I have a buddy that used to guide city slicker guys on Montana wilderness elk hunts. He quit guiding because of whiney clients like your type. TIGER, maybe video game hunts, like Cabelas big game hunts, would provide more pleasure for you.[8D] dd |

RE: I'm Back from Alberta
Yeah thas a bunch of BS. You paid your hard earned money to this guy and he did nothing to help. Thats BS. Hopefully you can find a better outfitter to hunt with next time.

RE: I'm Back from Alberta
C.C. the Outfitter offered us $1000.00 per as a refund ...Glen turned him down so I did to ...it wasent the money but the principal ...he obviously knew he was wrong by offering us a partial refund ....but thats been months ago and I just wrote it off as a lesson learned ...you know whats funny about this thread is that when I first posted it over a year ago I was not looking for others approval or pitty ...I posted it so others might learn from it ..not to make the same costly mistakes as we did .... funny how it got twisted.

I also just re-read your initial post. Sounds to me like your lazy tail is po'd because you finally put in a little work, and werent' rewarded with a treat. So you had to walk a little ways to your stand in a little snow, big deal. You didn't see 30 deer a day? Guess what, them's the breaks! Sure it sucks you didn't get a deer. But you are not headed to Timberghost Ranch, this is not a guarantee.
