Tough Luck DR. DUD. Maybe you should go after big bucks like real hunters do.......or you can keep paying for them. Were you really crying about walking a mile to stand in the snow? LMAO!! I though you were a legend?

LMAO.Your right DD but he comes to see me all year. I didn't bring this back up to start another round of bashing. This was fed off of another thread. Let the bashing cease. If you have nothing constructive to say then say nothing.

WOOOOOW!! Just stumbled on this thread, good read. Some serious, some funny s$%t. Sure adds truth to the adage " some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you."

Dr. D, personally, I think you're getting to much crap over the thread, but with that said,
l'll make a couple of observations.

1. Who are we to attack some one with " why would you want to spend money......yada yada. To each his own. Your money, do what you want with it.

2. Made big mistake after the first day not going in " nude " then changing at the stand.

3. U should have followed your instincts and DEMANDED to hunt the way your gut said, { new stand location } if allowed by law. 4500+ $$ gives you that say so.

4. Way to much back and forth with other posters. Sure to bring on the negativity, but in IMHO, you handled it with class.

5. Your right about width when scoring racks. Why should a rack be credited with air, and deducted for irregular?

Frankly, I have a hard time imagining an outfitter conducting business the way this one did, with repeat clients, provided you were respectful to him and not an A$$. Not doubting your truthfullnes, just difficult to imagine.

Crokit thank you for your post ....anyone that reads the entire thred and was objective would have to come to the same conclusion you did ...in retrospect I suppose we (Glen and I) could have handled some things differently ...when we first arrived we were trated like family seeing as how this was our third trip ...but as the week went one Glen and I both were becoming less and less satisfied with the effort of our outfitter ...Glen is an attorney from North Carolina and about mid weekhe made his dissatisfaction known in no uncertain terms which may have set the tone for the rest of the hunt ..and in all honesty I said a few things to the outfitter myself such as wanting to move ...not seeing any game or fresh tracks ...so I am sure the outfitter was not real happy with us which may be partially the reason for the lack of effort we got ..so I think we may be to blame is a small way BUT that does not excuse the outiffter from not trying to get us in a better situation IMHO...

RE: I'm Back from Alberta

2ndday on the stand and you start shooting a decoy????????? How does an outfitter take care of such a client??
I have been on 7 Canadian bear hunts. On three of the hunts I have sat from 3 pm till dark(8:30 pm) 5 solid days in a row, motionless with black flies and mosquito's swarming my head net(before I learned about the thermacell) and never even saw a bear. That is why they call it hunting and not shooting. As an experienced hunter, Iaccept the fact that the game may not offer me a shot or that I may never see the game. To me that is one ofthe thrills about hunting; the unknown.I sure as a hell am not going to whine to my bear guide or get on a public forum and whine about not seeing a bear. Sniveling is not attractive on a grown man. I have a buddy that used to guide city slicker guys on Montana wilderness elk hunts. He quit guiding because of whiney clients like your type. TIGER, maybe video game hunts, like Cabelas big game hunts, would provide more pleasure for you.[8D]
