STOLEN!!!

OK i went out for a mid morning hunt cause i had stuff to do in the morning anyway i got out ther just to still hunt and i came across my stand that I use during bowseason(mainly) and I look and my Cabelas treesteps where GONE with my treestand still there!! im somad not even funny I went and talked to the land owner and he said noone had hunted there yet this year (that he knew of) so i have a feeling its these kids that lives across the street (the little turds) so there is 100.00 bucks down the tube and thats the second set that have been stolen from me so me and my buddy are going on a special ops through there woodsthis weekend to see if there using them.

That sucks to hear about. Hopefully you'll find them or at least the people who took or know something. I realize you are mad, and its understandable, that is no reason to use some of the language so please watch that :)

Well if it is those lil buggers i would close line them with the ladder. That should teach them a lesson.

what a horrible world we live in, i have to walk back and forth with my portable tree stand on my own private land because im scared it might get stolen, and i have to put my trail cam in the middle of a thicket so no one sees it.

I know it makes me sick i have a couple ladder stands that have locked up but i dont know why they would take my treesteps though and leave my treestand which i actually a higher end model it angers me.[:@]

Nothing worse than a thief IMO. I had 8 ladder stands stolen off private property in one night (day before opening day of bow). Dirtbags!

I had a $250 climber stolen off a tree early this season that I had locked with a cable.

The thieves just pulled on it until the cable broke.

DO NOT use the cable locks sold at Dick's for treestands. They are worthless.

If I decide to lock my new Summit to a tree, I will be using a chain that could hold an elephant.

It is really too bad. I guess you may have to start chaining everything to a tree if you are going to leave it in the woods. Yeah, you could chain those little wankers to a tree as well!

RE: STOLEN!!!

We had a two man treestand stolen off our property that had two rachet straps and a LOG CHAIN around it!!! The scumbags took bolt-cutters to the lock, or ruined a saw. But a two man treestand?!?! It's sad that something that big would get stolen. Now, I do the same thing someone said earlier...I carry my climber everywhere, I never leave it sit, not even overnight. We have been broken into or had something major stolen (major as in over $200)from us 6 times in the past 2 years between Canada, US, and Mexico, with police reports on all 6 (which some had a hard time believing until we showed them the paperwork!), so you better believe that I am very leary of leaving anything anywhere now. Only one was a stand, the other stuff ranged from fishing equipment to winches to $6500 stolen out of our gun safe when our backs were turned (which was done by my *former* hunting partner while he was waiting for me). Point is...where have our ethics gone?

That's nothin. I had a decoy stolen once. It was on private land where no one else was supposed to be hunting on too. The tree where I had it leaning on had 14 270 bullets in it.. LOL....I hope they tagged it....
