Default The deer have vanished

I read where a hunter here has the same problem like mine.
From Sept.to Oct. I saw and photoed several deer where I hunt whichis a private nursery in Ohio. For about 4 weeks now I haven't seen any deer or fresh signin a mile radius. I'm human scent free as possible use cover scent, scent trails and wicks. I Grunt, growl and bleat nothing. I have several hunting locations and I'm pretty much the only hunter inthe area. Where did the deer go?

I have never seen a deer while hunting. Heard shots, seen fresh sign, but never seen one while I was hunting for them.

how large is the property and maybe the neghibors property has better food sources deer go wher they can easily get to the food to a bedding area safley and if your property dosent have that then you might need to plant some things or put out some feeders something we did along time ago and some of out neghibors are actually complaining to us that we are stealing all their deer becaus the see none and we have 30 of them in out barley fields so that may be the reason.

It's gone dead where I'm hunting, too. Very little hunting pressure either. Not even on the neighboring properties. I hunted a sure-fire spot this evening where I have seen deer every time I have hunted it and nothing today. I started out Saturday which was opening day of rifle season seeing 10 deer the first morning and tapering off each time I have gone out and hunting several different spots, one for the first time this year.

So will it get better once the rut starts to wind down?
