Rigor Mortis Question
Has anybody else noticed that on the more popular hunting dvd's i.e. Drury Outdoors, Primo's, Realtree... that whenever they are doing the hero interview after taking a deer that they can swing around a bucks neck pretty easily even after rigor mortis has set in. Is there a trick to making it look easy that i dont know about? Other then superman strength of course.

RE: Rigor Mortis Question
My wife and I were discussing this same issue and wondering how they did it. She was a nurse for several years, but could not figure out how they could loosen the muscles after a few hours of time. I'll be interested to see if anyone knows the answer.

not sure, but I have never had one or been around one that was "hard" to move the neck around for a picture. They don't get that stiff in the neck
I doknow that they cut the tongue out for the photo op. (usually can see the jaw open)

RE: Rigor Mortis Question
Well depending on various factors (temp, physical activity, etc...) it can take rigor 12-24 hours toset in....then it disappears after 3 days....or at least that's the way is in humans......

RE: Rigor Mortis Question
Hi, my experience with Rigor has showed me that if you work at the muscle your trying to flex than you will wear the rigor out. Even if Rigor is at its climax, you can twist and rotate the neck several times and it will dissipate.
