That sounds great. Be sure and take him some good backstrap for sure. I would imagine that if you leave his place better than you find it and take him some good tenderloin steaks and a couple whole back straps you will have a place to hunt for a while. If you see trash or something messed up fix it with no question and let him know what you did and don't take anything for doing it. Land owners love it when people do that for them. I know the ones that we have down here don't go to their properties very much and basically use us as land managers. We notify them of anything that may have happened and what we did to fix it or what needs to be done and they really apprieciate that. Good luck

Kenman, that is probly the best thing anyone could do to thank someone for that. It's amazing what a childs courtesy can do. A hand written letter now adays is a big deal, with all this e-mail and computer business. I think that would do the trick even without giving him any meat. Of course I would still give him all he could ever use.

As much as YOU thank your neighbor, I bet it would mean the world to him if your son wrote him a thank you letter, in his own words and penmanship. Good neighbors are hard to come by, thankfully I've got a couple as well.

Great idea. Also I like the idea of leaving it better than before. This will also teach your son about values and that there are good people out there who care and will help him. Wonderful oportunity for hunting and learning.

BTW, is the house on the other side of your neighbor for sale? hehehe
