The score really doesn't make me any difference either way, but I would say that is a dang nice buck!!!

Sorry ,I didn't mean to sound angry or anything but on a hunting forum if you post something that is simply not representitive of the truth than people are going to call you on it. Yes I do think it's a very nice buck none the less. Congrats to your friend.

TNH I was not trying to take away from your buddy's deer(Its a great buck). When you said it scored 172+ as a 9 pt i was expecting something a little different. If its a different scoring system so be it, thanks for the clarification. Good luck......

I agree, that is a great buck and its definately bigger than anything i've ever shot, I was really wondering how it scored over 170, but now that you explain it, it makes sense. tell him nice buck.
