will the can call in does?
#5
I have had quite a few doe respond to the call. I think it's just curiosity. The doe my son killed last year was walking away and he couldn't get a shot. I hit the can a few times and she turned and walked up within 75 yrds. I have actually had more doe than buck respond to the call.

I have tried grunts and can calls with no luck. I have even tried it within sight of deer, all it did was scare them away. Now rattlings horns have worked liked magic, bucks come in in a daze, slobering at the mouth. wont even run off for quite awhile even after spotting me.

Last year during muzzleloader season, I was sitting in one of my bowstands about 60 yds from a windmill where there is a good puddle of water on the ground. Late in the evening I could hear splashing and commotion from the water hole. It finally got so late I was afraid it was going to get dark and I wouldn't have a chance to shoot. I tipped the can a couple of times and within a couple of minutes I had several deer coming to the stand. The first one I could see was a 130# doe that I promptly nailed. When I got my stuff together and started climbing down, there were still deer milling around under the stand.
