RE: Gunhunting vs. Bowhunting

I like bowhunting better b/c of the challenge, the gun hunters always get the peak of the rut here, so last year I started gun hunting also. Man talk about easy, now I know why so many more people do it. But gun hunting is something completly different and very fun and rewarding in its own respect. very good way to put meat in the frezer too:D

I'm with the other guys in that no one is better than the other. But if you absolutely need a reason, you could argue that bowhunters are generally the people who are brought in to manage urban deer populations, thus resulting in less deer/car accidents as well as property damage caused by deer.

I agree with cwillard you can't place one above the other. just do both and try your best to make ethical shooting decisions

One isn't better that the other, just different stategies.

Bowhunting= silent, calculating, notice the details, get em close...

Gunhunting= find out where the deer go when the lead starts flying, and get there first, meat in the freezer.

RE: Gunhunting vs. Bowhunting

Why not write the essay on why hunting is better than not hunting?

For the actual huntI prefer bow for the challenge and excitement of getting close. I prefer gun camp because of the company (this includes dogs) and the socializing aspect of it.
