What rifle caliber do you use for your whitetail hunting?

RE: What rifle caliber do you use for your whitetail hunting?
I've been hunting with a 30-06 Huskavarna that my grandfather gave me a few years back. Very accurate, straight shootin rifle........and the best thing is it's extremely light - perfect for ridge running after those bigg'uns.
My brother picked up a new Tikka T3 with a composite stock. We were sighting it in when he handed it to me saying....... "this is so light." I then handed him the husky and he proceeded to sit down and adjust his sights...lol.

I use a 35 cal. Lever action Marlin. It's an awesome gun in the bush and shoots a 200 grain blunt bullet. Plus it's fairly light and easy to move around with. Course if I was more open field I would more then likely use a 270.
