Me and the two kids are the only ones that eat the deer meat in our family. I can't even get the wife to taste it.

Last year we ate about 225 lbs of moose meat and 4 deer. I still got a little moose meat in the freezer but all out of deer.

We make lots of jerky and smoke some. The jerky doesn't last long. A 5 or 6 lb. batch seldom lasts more than 3 days. The kids take it to school and all the kids beg for it.

Yeah, we got our doe tags.
