I trapped more when I was younger, worked my way up to mzloader and rifle for big game, then tried bow hunting deer last year. Bow hunting big-game all the way...... up close and personal---adrenalin rush. The most skill required. Although I still love to hunt rabbits (on a good year) with my single shot .22LR, gets me gigglin to shoot 30+ rabbits in a morning. Lots of shooting and good practice for other hunting situations.

Once I started bow hunting, I sold all my rifles that very same year. I can't see hunting deer or just about any other big game with anything else now.

I love my winchester 30-30 Black shadow for deer, but i voted for my rem. 20 807 express had it since i was 13 and it's never let me down from squrrrels to geese.

I am going with my 30-06 savage model 111f. It has treated me good for the short time I have owned it. It is good for pretty much all North American game.

i like a 3.75" hickory for everthing but the biggest of bears, for them i pull out the ol'e 4 footer, for sport sometimes i'll use little peachtree or peartreelimbs

next would be a bow, but it just really seams like over-kill

BTW i picked bow, but i hunt with pretty much all of them, but bowhunting brings me the most enjoyment

I love all seasons really. Bow season for the challenge and rifle season for getting together with freinds and hunting. I'm rather fond of my omega muzzle loader too .
Fave hunting rifle is my 30-06 A-bolt medallion.

We can't use rifles much here yet . No interest in trapping .

I like a shotgun because I can shoot evertihing with it then rifle/bow follow close behind

Strictly archery for me, I rather take the animal down with a bow than a gun any day.

It really depends on what I'm hunting. For deer hunting it will be my BAR. For pheasant it would be my Browning shotgun.
