well opening morning brother and I saw one large 3x4 and a small forkey but no luck getting a shot with our bows. that night however told another story. both with new bows we were able to down two deer (one each) that night. brother got a nice forky and mine was just a spike fork, but at 45 yards heart shot and went 20 yards not too shabby for a first buck....they were roaming together and we were still hunting with homemade bears feet,,,worked great...didn't even know we were there...hope everyone elses seasons can start off that good...

Awesome..congrats on the deer! Any pics?
I'm amazed by the people who can still hunt and kill deer...I'm to clumsy to do that.....I think I might try it again this year...just for kicks and giggles on a wet morning.
