Default Glad it is not me!!

A fella at work (we will call him John), got into deer hunting around 3 years ago and loves it. Problem is, his girlfriend just reminded him that her friends wedding is this weekend--the opener here in Minn, and he comitted to going with her. She happily told him about the fancy hotel room she rented for them, blah, blah, blah. When I heard about this, I stopped by and the guy just cowered in his office like a little puppy caught peeing on the carpet. Needless to say, this guy is completely miserable. I (and the rest of the deer hunters in the office), on the other hand, find it hysterically funny. We are swamping him with ads for tupperware parties, stamping parties, women's expo's, etc. I told him we would all have a brewsky at deer camp in memory of him--then laugh our arse off!

Sucks to be him. While your thinking of him while hunting, I wonder if he'll be thinking of you while he's at the fancy hotel room with his girlfriend. Hmmm. Lets hope it's true love, else that's quite a sacrifice. (She better be a hottie!!) CRACK!! Was that a whip I just heard?

Glad it not me!!

What, what's that hon. What was I laughing at... oh nothing, just on-line chating with the hunting fellows on the internet. Gotta go guys.

Like I said, glad it's not me.

Bummer for him... he needs to do what I did...my wife knows very well that I do not accept any invitations or make any plans in Oct,Nov (deer hunting) and April, May (turkey hunting). Its a blanket rule...year in and year out. And she also knows that I do not attend weddings unless its for a blood relative (but even then, not if its in Oct,Nov,April or May) She understands. Guess I'm lucky!

That sucks. My good friend and sometimes hunting partner got married on this year's duck opener. I couldn't dodge it as I was one of the groomsmen. We all ragged on him about it but he is so whipped he couldn't do anything about it. Oh well. Opener is crowded with crazies anyway.
