only have one clmber, loggy bayou, its nice ,got loc-ons,and ladder stands you can never have enough stands:D

somthign doesnt make since to me with the summits though. you have to buy the top and the bottom separatly when you have to have both to work a climber? that doesnt make since to me.

My Summit Viper was 100% complete out of the box, not sure about the other types. I also have a climber made on the old Buckshot design and honestly it is just as comfortable and maybe easier to climb with. Another thing I like is you are behind the tree and have better concealment. It would be best if you could either try friends climbers or locate a country sporting goods store that would let you try one before you bought it.

I think they're just making the tops and bottoms available separately if you want/need to purchase them.

Case in point: I bought a Viper XLS off my father a few years ago because he just decided he was too lazy to use a tree stand and would rather walk to the base of a tree and sit down. Being a bowhunter, I didn't care too much for the shooting rail though, so I contacted Summit and was able to purchase the Cobra XLS top to go along with my stand. Now, if needed, I have the best of both worlds.

Iboughtthe Equalizer this past winter and can't wait to try it out when bow season opens here in MD.

When I first started working at Huntingnet.com I started using lone wolf stands. Since just about all my friends and hunting camp members have switch over to them. They may not be as comfortable as the summit, but for ease of use and being quiet they are second to none.
