Default Age this Buck (Answer)

This is a friend of mines buck. The horns were a little heavy, but not a massive rack. He was aged when the taxidermist mounted him. This is an east texas buffalo, texas buck.
TEST YOUR SKILLS He is 4.5

Let me give you a little texas history.........a good size hill country buck dressed out is 110lbs.
East Texas dressed buck 125lbs
South Texas dressed buck 175lbs

On the hoof add 40lbs or so..........This buck dressed at like 155lbs (east texas)

I've heard that the rack size actually starts coming down after they peak and get older. Not sure if thats the case here or if its just food related. I'd say at least 3.5...

It would be a good 1-1/2 or a 2-1/2 around here (southern Indiana)

well how old is it. Looks like a big body compared to the rack. Tough guessing those texas deer. If it lived here I'd go with 2 1/2, but I'll say 3 1/2.
