I tend to get cold at times as well. And man it can effect your hunting. regardless I stay out.

I have found that If I stay warm in the cabin through out the night and when I get up, I'm warm, then I start putting on my first layers to maintain my body temp. By the time I do get into the woods I am very warm and this will help for a while or at least until dawn.

It's the wind that gets to you, ware clothing that will help or eliminate the wind from getting to your skin.

Rack-attack, yes you would if you were hunting with me, just ask my friends, I would have a pillow fight with you before sunrise until you changed your mind and then you would have to listen to me ragg your a$$. It would be easier to deal with the cold than me.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

RACK ATTACK,

I dont drive 500+ miles each way to stay inside because its cold out, Im there too hunt!
Besides when it gets really cold and snowy, the property I hunt is the yarding area for all the surrounding farms, dozens of new deer show up overnight!

I usualy sit in my stand from the early morning to the dark of night and i found that good old carhartt coat and bibs work great along with a nit hat that covers your whole head along with your face, and of course there is eye, and mouth holes.A good warm hat and good boots always help. Most heat is lost through your melon.

When the temperature is below -30 I only hunt for a few hours a day.
