Default Finally found a nice one....

I was driving down the road today and saw a pretty good looking buck. I pulled over and grabbed the binoculars and counted a perfect 10 point rack. I'm not really sure how much more growing he had to do, but right now he looked like he would go in the high 130's-low 140's.

The best part is I saw him about 100 yards away from public land. Might try to follow this big boy around a little and see if I can find where he is bedding and feeding at right now.

Awesome! My only thought is that if you saw him, someone else has probably seen him too. When the big boys get seen they attract alot of hunters! But at least you know where a good one is!!

Good to know, but that close to public land could be a 2 edge sword. Hide out on the private land or go on the public land and 50 people waiting for him

Well the good thing is for some reason not many people bowhunt this land, they all choose a different area. Its real brushy terrain andI know there was a 180 plus typical taken in the same area I saw this buck.

I have only seen a handful of hunters while bowhunting, but for shotgun seasonits a whole different story.

IBH, no direspect to the shotgunners cause part of the year I am one but it is probably because it doesn't take much skill or alot of practice to pull a trigger. You know... I have never seen or heard of a deer being taken from the hip by a bow!!! Good Luck and let us know how it turns out!
