The absolute BEST way is to shoot the deer with a traquilizer gun and fit them with a radio collar. BUT since this is illegal in WV you will have to resort to the time honored methods of scouting, checking with locals, or waiting until the first snowfall. Did I meantion scouting.
I have never hunted over in that area, but I do know the area well. It is unlikely you will find any trophies in this area. It is WELL hunted (i.e. the deer never get that old) despite the isolation, and several deer in this area have come down with Blue Tongue (within the last couple of weeks).
For trophy deer, either head slightly east or south into one of the four bow-only counties. There be monsters there.
