Default Congratulations from afar!

Well I just heard that my cousin is getting married on opening day of rifle season. What kind of fool would get married at such a sacred time. The only thing I can say is enjoy the card while I enjoy the wonderful world of deer hunting.

I can't believe anyone could be so stupid. I hope he can even find a minister and or a witness. They will probably have an anniversary party every year after this and expect the whole family to go.

A couple of years back I was invited to attend church with a nice family that I had met. It was the last day of rifle season and I was still hunting hard for a nice 8 pointer that I had seen. I told him that my family and I would attend. That morning I awoke and couldn't stand it.......I headed for the woods. I climbed up in my stand and sat there for feeling guilty for not going to follow through on my word. After about thirty minutes I climbed down and went and got the family and we made it to service. After I got home I had a message on my answering machine. My best friend's father had shot the 8 pointer as it bedded down in the middle of the hay field. But I kept my word and was in church trying to do the right thing.

This time I know better than to commit to anything! All I can do is wish him the best in life!
