If you owned the place, were affiliated w/them then it may be a problem. This may be a 'slight' form of advertising but its called word of mouth. You seem to be quite happy w/your hunt and you recommend it others.

All I have to say is nice pics. Thanx

Looks like Tred Barta....Looks like I should get into the guiding business...see bucks like these shown and biggeraround here regularly. That's alot of money just to shoot a whitetail. I am going to New Foundland for moose, caribou, and black bear with lodging and licenses for $5500.

B.C. not yet my friend BUT I have "plans" to shoot Monday ...I will have the day off ... and if its not raining ..or real windy like it has been seems all spring and summer here so far Ill get this sucker zero'ed ... as for being a lot to hunt Whitetails I know its not cheap Hardcore ... but from what I have seen hunting a whitetail in Alberta is a lot tuffer then hunting a baited bear ...or a heard of Caribou that walk right in front of you ...and I have seen Moose 3 out of the 4 times I have hunted Canada so those dont seem that hard to hunt either... BUT different strokes for different folks ... I hope you do well.

Hardcore, been to New Foundland a few times. And on occasion, didn't come back a moose. Caribou should be easy enough. Killing a black bear is a rarity in Oct season, Ifound. Spring isa different story. But out of the airport last trip out of 32 hunters, maybe 2 had a trophy. Rest were scrubs. I hope your in top notch shape. Be able to run 3-5 miles pretty easy. But really what I learned is to concentrate on climbing. Maybe train on stairs. Newfies don't move entirely fast, but they can hump and hump some more thru the black spruce. Hospital in deer lake is always full of US hunters. I myself sprained my ankle and pulled my hip.

I think I took my last trip up there. Next moose trip to BC.

Thanks bigcountry..we work out all the time. I think elk hunting at 12,000 ft on foot with heavy packs was about as tough as it goes too. Hoytgirl and I are excited about the hunt. We go next Sept.

Believe me if your in Northern Newfoundland, CO hunting for elk is like a walk in the park. Anybody can walk hard ground, yea its steep and air is thin. But the bog's and black sprucetake so much out of you. I got another friend on here GAHUNTER, who just wrote me not too long ago, and said, since Newfoundland, he went elk/mulie hunting 3 times and Africa Twice and all of them together doesn't add up to his trip to Newfoundland. I know from experience, he's right on target. Good luck.:D:D

Now Southern Newfoundland isn't as boggy.

Good luck to you too DD.... No bait hunting; all spot and stalk..woodland caribou are a tough animal to hunt unlike their cousin the ground barren. We have huge whitetails here but I can see your allure as Southern deer don't get as big as up north or the midwest. 3 species for $5000 with lodging and largest population of moose in North America, we just have to go. GOOD LUCK..Hope you find someone:D
