definately a whitetail. the antlers don't fork in groups of two like a mule's do. and the coloration and markings are different.

Looks like a Mule/WhiteTail Deer Cross Breed
Look at the ears. Every thing looks like a WhiteTail except the ears. 98 percent whitetail JMHO |

Crossbreed was my first thought, too. I have a friend in Wyoming who says they've been crossbreeding there for quite a while. I don't know what characteristics would be predominant (other than the Southern thing), but it might look like this one.
