I never did until that unfortunate day (Nov 21, 2004) up in Northern Wisconsin when 8 hunters were shot. Wisconsin still doesn't have CCW yet. The State Supreme Court is slowly whittling away the 130+ law banning concealed weapons. I will always have my Browning Hi-Power with me either hunting or just walking/hiking around on hunting land.

I always carry my Taurus .44 Mag Revolver no matter what Im doing in the woods, walking, hunting, trimming trails, cutting down trees, etc. I never used to have to worry about a side arm untill thelast few years when the bear population sky rocketed in my area incentral Wi. Iuse custom loaded rounds set to the maximum allowed through a .44 mag for self defense against bears. And useCopper Cowboys for plinking and just plain out fun shooting.

i carry my S&W .357 mag with me alot of the time when i hunt.
