I have heard alot of talk about this in the past, and in my experience it been hard to say.
I have seen deer that obtain an area near camp and seen the same deer miles away.
Remember the RUT makes these buck mad and they will cross the earth to find what thier looking for.
So in my oppinion buck will travel well outside of there teritory, inturn through this aggression buck can travel more that five mile out side of thier domain. Either to chase/fighting other bucks, tailing doe and taking over teritory.
One of my members was traking and this a particular deer all of last year and was sure he would get it. Unfortunatly, another hunting camp member about 8 miles away took it, who knows?

Saw an article that said it wasn't unusual for a buck to range over 4,000 acres. It will depend on available cover, food, water, pressure and doe/buck ratio.
