Size is relative to the area hunted. If you were to show up at a big buck night in my areawith any of those Florida deer, they wouldn't get much attention at all.
SJ,you have game we don't have and we have game you don't have.[8D]

1/23/2006 - Cody Thomas of Savannah, Ga. took the #10 All-Time highest scoring typical buck ever killed in Florida with this 13-point killed on private property in Leon County on Nov. 20, 2005. The 235-pound buck sported a 19-1/2-inch inside spread and netted 154-6/8 inches (165-4/8 gross) in the Florida Buck Registry
235 pounds in Florida. Is this a typo Reb? I can't imagine a wild free range deer growing that large in Florida. The body size and height gets smaller as you go further south (Bergmann's rule)

I have hunted in St Marks and appalacacola and I have met the #2 guy in some camp ground in the walkulla area. I hunted these tidal marshes along the gulf and hunted the piney wood rooters and there were so many that you could be kinda choosey cause they would come out and feed on the fiddler crabs.. Found some nice sheds and got a dinker but hogs all over. Just depends on how hard you want to bring it back. Kinda seems like when you shoot it the fun stops and the work begins, I never did like work.
