Refreshing Report !
I wanted to make a very refreshing report to our web site members...it seems that now days that we are all in a hurry ..and few of us ever take the time to really go out of our way to help someone in need ... but I would like to report to you that is NOT ALWAYS the case. I posted a request on theReloadingforum back about a month ago that I would like to find someone to help me with reloading 270 ammo ...that is what I hunt with and I know really nothing about reloading but needed a round that would be accurate out to 300 yards and have enough punch to knock down a 350lb whitetail buck ... I will be hunting Alberta this coming year ... I had a man that I am sure is well known on this forum send me a PM and offer his service and knowledge ... he talked with me on the phone and then proceeded to order and make me some ammo to shoot from my old Belgium Browning F/N Mauser .... I just got the first batch today and plan on trying to shoot some this weekend ..I just wanted to commend him for his help, interest and sharing his knowledge with an old man like me...there is really nothing in it for him other then the appreciation of an old hunter... butnot many would would take the timedo that ..now I will not mention his user ID as I am sure he would prefer me not to but I will just say THANK YOU Mark ...guys like you are what make this forum so worth while ...and makes our sport a great fraternity!

RE: Refreshing Report !
I also had a similar experience. I had questions and concerns with a new Springer Spaniel about training/hunting etc.
A member here responded and helped tremendously. He took the time to give me informations I desperately neededand he setup evaluation of my dog with a professionaland in the last 2 yrs we have developed a respectful relationship.
We have even spent time in the fieldtogether and have been successful during bird season. We bothhunt overSpringersand we later discovered his female is the sister of my dog from the previous litter.
I will always be grateful to him for the time he spent with a rookie bird hunter and his green dog!
