One in a million picture

I got this the other night, I just got a new Cuddeback and already had one so I put them both on the same feeder, mainly to just see some pics from my new one, wonder what the chances are in catching the flash on one camera with the other LOL. I thought it was a pretty cool pic.

strut,

They are supposed to be coming out with a cudde that has a 50% bigger flash. How much do you think that would help, given the pictures you have taken at night with yours and their quality on the edge of darkness? I'd like to wait for that new one before buying, but can get the one out now on ebay for $100 less than the new one, which will surely go at full price until it is widely available, and wonder if it is worth paying the extra money.

Thanks

Great pic strut!!!

As for the camera post, their is NO way I would spend $85 on that thing. Not when I can buy an 8' 4X4 for $15. And besides, the 4X4 is probably more secure, and just as easy to move. JMHO

Thats fine you all dont have to buy it but I guarentee your 4" x 4" isnt as easy to move or to mount your camera on. Remember you get what you pay for and the post will last a lifetime. Im selling plenty of them any way and have never had any come back or a complaint abou them.

It always sucks when you make a thread/topic pointing east and somehow it ends up going west. That pic is really cool, probally the only one of one game cam taking a pic of another in the process of a pic. You should submit that to Cuddeback for their contest, truely a cool pic!!

strut 03-02-2006 05:36 AM

RE: One in a million picture

I have sent it in to Cuddeback already, The one camera that you see with the flash is one that I won in their contest last fall, I will be checking to see if I can win the picture of the week.

Hey Strut...cool pic indeed. Do you have any measurments on that custom feeder. I'd sure like to add one of those to my hunting property.:D

RE: One in a million picture

NW, I don't really have any plans or measurements on the feeder, I just kind of slopped it together one afternoon, You can make it about any size you like, a couple of important things is to put a hardware cloth bottom in it so it don't hold water, I used 1/4 inch I think but if you can find 1/8" it would be as good or better, also on the pipe, it needs to set about 1" above the screen bottom so it will feed out OK. I built mine on just a little bit of an "A" frame for stability, I have several close up pics if you want to see them let me know andI will e-mail them to ya. Mine holds about 200lb of corn.

lol Im sorry, but selling a post? There are free posts called trees to hang a trailcam on.....and they also last a lifetime... I have never heard of a company based off of selling a post to set your trail camera on, thats "unique". (don't make this out to be something itsnot meant to be)

Unusual picture, but it appears the camera missed the picture of the deer.

tanktrunk 03-06-2006 05:50 AM

RE: One in a million picture

Looks like the first camera did miss the pic of the deer if it wasnt for the second camera going off. Dont think Cuddeback wants to use that one for an ad.

How do you figure it missed the picture??????

strut 03-06-2006 06:04 PM

RE: One in a million picture

From what I can tell on the other camera I did have a blank picture on the other camera around the same time of this picture but I imagine the clocks are not sychronized, but Cuddeback has the fastest trigger speed of any digital I know of and she was moving on. I might get one blank out of a 100 pics, thats not to bad. I still think its a pretty neat picture.
