Big Whitetail or Big Mule Deer
 

I have been looking at a lot of big whitetail and mulie bucks on the net and in big Buck magazine ... I was wondering ... if you have the chance to hunt an area that provided both ...and if you had the opportunity to shoot a B&C animal which had you rather take and why...assuming either would be a trophy and the rack would be comprable in score ?

I'd rather kill the whitetail. There is just something about them, plus I have never been mulie hunting before. Just don't seem the same to me.

Nothing against Mulies or mulie hunters.

I would rather shoot the Mule Deer than the Whitetail....for the exact opposite reasons as GUS.

I can always shoot a Whitetail Buck....Wait a minute, I hunt NH.....nevermind!

Well,
I am with Jimmy. While B&C whitetails are rare in my area, a few do get taken every year. If I put that kind of money on the table to hunt, I think I would rather take the muley. Of course, if I saw one of each, being the basically greedy sob that I am, I would shoot the biggest (I know, you thought I was gonna say both, I ain't that greedy!)

I would shoot the mulie because it would yield more meat , I have a smoker to tenderize it , and I don't care what it scored since I don't trophy hunt .

I can shoot whitetails all the time and love it, but a B&C mulie would definitely be once in a lifetime, so there's my vote.

A Giant Alberta (BowZone) Whitetail buck would be my choise.

to me, whitetails are just better looking on the wall. being from the east, when i see someones big mulie deer head on the wall i think, "well he paid alot of money to harvest that animal" to where a B&C whitetail its like "wow did you get that around here?!"

Could be from lack of experiance but I think whitetails just look better.
