Great question. I have thought about this many times and still can't make up my mind. I think I would kill the mulie. I have some nice whitetails and will probably kill a lot more big ones. But the opportunity for me to kill a big mulie won't come around nearly as often.

Ha! I guess I just made up my mind!

I have hunted both ALOT, and would have to say that my decision is split evenly. Both are beautiful in my opinion. I have grown to like mulie hunting as they are a different creature. They are definately not as habitual and bagging a huge mulie , especially with a bow in open country, can be a great challenge.

I have 38 sets of white tail antlers in My gun shop, so I would go for the mullie just because I have never harvested one.

Deffinately the Muley, just because I think that there are alot more WT's out there. Last year in Wyoming (Muley Country) I saw 10 WT's for every Muley I saw:(and rumor has it that the WT's are pushing the Muleys out of their natural habitat b/c the WT's tend to be more aggressive.

Doc, I know WMU 508 isin the southwest portion of the Boreal Forest and borders WMU 248 (Bow Zone)which is the Parkland Region. This is where I hunt. We are hunting not too far from each other! All I really know is this region is the "red hot" for MONSTER bucks!;):D

Really can't back up my reason why, I would just prefer to shoot a Mule.

I would definitely have to take the Mule deer. But only because I have about 7 whitetails on the wall from here in Iowa already and only one Muley and one California Blacktail.
Either way would be an awesome trophy!

Well i would like to shoot a big mule deer........but only the whitetails live around here...
