deer season has been closed for me now going on two months. i had the chance to go back this weekend and hog hunt. i never saw a buck bigger than a basket 6 this season. this past saturday i was hunting our baited area and saw a massive 8 point whitetail. had to be 20" wide with long tall beams. he spooked when i drove up but after i set there, he came back out and started grazing again..... blahh!! it never fails does it. its like these deer have a 6th sense or something. now that i know he's there, i'll hunt a little harder in that area next season.

well at least you know hes there for the next season so that you wont shoot anything smaller unless you want one smaller which i doubt you do. He will be bigger to next time around

Bucks don't get that big by being stupid. LOL One slip up on our part and you may just have put a biggin into "night" mode.

That always amazes me too. Another thing is how they will be seen for a long time by people who don't hunt or don't have a gun or bow.[&:]
