If I were looking for sheds now, I'd look around feeding areas, onheavily used trails, or other spots where deer spent a lot of time. It might be early though, I just saw a buck last night on the way home from work that still had his rack.

If possible set up some temporary shed traps , if not then just stroll the trails and keep a sharp eye out for them . Fencelines will sometimes produce well since an antler will sometimes drop off as a buck jumps the fence .

I shed hunt during February in WI when the deer are forced on to trails because of snow.

I have gotten about 10 different bucks on my trail cam in the past week still holding both sides. I wouldn't go yet unless you want to push all of the deer on your neighbors land so he can get the sheds![:@]
